About usIn 2005, Fire4 Systems Inc. launched a software billing system for hot spot operators. Product development began in 2003 and from 2005 to 2007 additional functionality was aggregated to the system at the request of WISP customers. In 2006, the Fire4 software development team decided to create a new business and operations support system (B/OSS) that was designed specifically for broadband Internet service providers (ISP's and WISPs). The new software product was branded Avansu and Beta I was released in March 2008. Testing will continue through to January 2009 when the production system will be launched. Accounts and access codes for Beta version customers will be free. A charge will be made for access codes when Beta II is launched. After January 2009 customers will be charged for Premium (Tier-2) accounts and Tier-1 accounts will continue to be free. The roadmap for the Avansu product release is shown below: 
Fire4 will develop Avansu firmware to support the following low cost wireless access point and router platforms. Avansu firmware will also be supported by our OEM customers:
