Remote management of access point configuration file

Each device with Avansu firmware installed can be managed remotely. The WISP or hot-spot operator will need to log in to the Tire-2 management screen. This is a virtual network operations center (NOC). An unlimited number of devices can be managed, both individually and in groups.

The Avansu firmware in each device has an identical configuration file. The configuration file can be uploaded from a device and downloaded to a device, both locally and remotely. The configuration file of any access point or router can be displayed and edited by the remote network manager. After modification the file can be sent to the device to implement the new configuration.

Replacing a failed device is very easy: power up the replacement device then download the configuration file for the device that failed.

The Avansu firmware that is installed in each each device has functionality features that are available in expensive carrier grade devices.

One valuable advanced feature is management of user bandwidth to ensure fair use of the hot spot resources.
