How it works: Reporting

The WISP can download data reports from the avansu subscription server. Reports are sent in comma separated value (CSV) format and can therefore be read as a data file by spreadsheet programs such as Microsoft Excel. Excel can be used to prepare graphical analysis such as pie charts. CSV billing reports can also be read by accounting software as a receivables file.

Reports have two functions. The first is to to analyze the node and group productivity, and check if the return on investment goals are being met. Decisions about network build-out can be made using facts instead of assumptions. Secondly, the WISP can easily manage the business financials when billing data is input into an accounting system.

Two types of reports are available for download: a usage report and a credit card billing report. Reports can be downloaded for individual nodes and also for groups of nodes.
